Friday night at home with a good movie, a hot pizza, and a glass of wine helped me relax and unwind after a long week. Just because you're staying in doesn't mean it can't be romantic. Nothing fancy, just a subtle touch like a nice glass of wine and shiny silverware can make a very casual event a little special. This weekend we dropped in at a Double Dave's and picked up a hot pizza so we could just kick back and relax.
I always get crazy looks when I say that I don't always care for pizza, but only because I had not found a place where I could just drop by and pick up a hot quick pizza to go. I have had pizza here twice now. What won me over was their dough. This pizza was a soft cloud filled with little pockets of steamy softness, golden crispy edges and topped with a creamy Alfredo sauce, gooey hot cheese, and generous little bundles of green spinach.
Best thing of all, when we asked if they would sell me some of their dough they said yes!
I'm so excited because if I want to make my own pizza and I don't want to make my own dough I can just swing by and buy some and half my work is done.
